Adaptive Sports Association’s programs help to enrich and transform the lives of people with disabilities through sports and recreation. PROJECT HEALING WATERS301-830-6450 - Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) began in 2005 serving wounded military service members at Walter Reed Army Medical Center returning from combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. Since then, PHWFF has expanded nationwide, establishing its highly successful program in Department of Defense hospitals, Warrior Transition Units, and Veterans Affairs Medical Centers and clinics.2

Empowered by help from conservation groups, outfitters, corporations, government agencies, and landowners, Freedom Hunters honors individuals from all branches of the military. It is with immense pride and enthusiasm that Freedom Hunters carries on the American tradition of hunting, fishing, and shooting.3

Veteran Sailing Association305 619-3433 - Learn to sail with exemplary ASA live-aboard sailing instruction while enjoying a unique one of a kind aquatic vacation in the beautiful Florida Keys and Bahamas. We will sail, snorkel, spearfish, kayak, and conduct ECO tours throughout the diverse reefs, water ways and mangroves with students receiving ASA Sailing Certifications in designated courses. Anglers of HonorAnglers of Honor works directly with veterans with disabilities and their families to aid in their recovery and acclimation to life after active duty. We also work with individuals suffering from spinal cord and traumatic brain injury to provide accessible and therapeutic fishing opportunities. Through the Anglers of Honor program, participants and their families learn the basics of fly fishing which they get to put to immediate use on premier private fly fishing water, restored to allow access for individuals with disabilities.1
