Join us for an important discussion on resilience and recovery this Mental Health Month. Hear from U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Moses Maddox as he discusses his transition from the military and how he went to extremes to re-experience the adrenaline rush of deployment. Moses will talk about reaching out for support, finding his new mission in life, and building a positive relationship with his son.
In addition, Dr. Wendy Tenhula, VA’s Director of Innovation and Collaboration, will join us from the Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. She will discuss VA’s Mental Health Month campaign — “Mental Health Means a Stronger You” — and provide information on resources that are available to Veterans.
The event will be hosted by Timothy Lawson, a member of VA’s Digital Media Engagement team and a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, Mr. Lawson is a noted blog writer and video producer and is responsible for launching VA’s first-ever podcast.
Help us kick off Mental Health Month by tuning in on Thursday, May 3.
